By latest November 30, 2009, Federal Marine Terminals (Richmond), Inc. will cease operations at the Port of Richmond.

With the recent departure of primary customer, ICL, to the Port of Wilmington, FMT Richmond has come to the conclusion that even with some reasonable degree of optimism regarding the potential growth of current business and with some possible new accounts, its presence at the Port of Richmond cannot be economically justified. FMT Richmond is in discussions with customers and with the Port of Richmond and is committed to providing them both with full backing toward a smooth transition.

FMT Richmond thanks its customers for their loyalty and collaboration and the Port of Richmond for its cooperation throughout the years.
